Overview
The NIC-side partner of 1.6T switch optics: one 800G port on four 200G lanes, so a 1.6T 2×DR4 on the switch can feed two 800G NICs.
200G-per-lane optics depend on newer DSPs and lasers that are still supply-constrained. Our manufacturer has quoted sample pricing only, so we price these per project instead of publishing a tier table.

Questions
What does it pair with on the switch?
A 1.6T 2×DR4 module: each of its two 800G ports links to one 800G DR4 on a NIC.
Why is there no published price?
Our manufacturer has quoted sample pricing only for 200G-lane optics. Until volume pricing is set, we quote each project separately.
Is the standard final?
The 200G-per-lane interfaces are defined in IEEE 802.3dj, still a draft at our September 2026 review. Modules follow the current draft and are verified on your platform during evaluation.
