Overview
Copper for the shortest links in a rack: switch to NIC or switch to switch within 3 m, at a fraction of the power and cost of optics.
AEC cables retime the signal in each connector, which allows longer and thinner cables; ACC cables use a linear redriver and draw less power at shorter lengths. One US distributor listed a 36-week lead time for 800G AEC in September 2026, so plan copper early.

AEC or ACC?
ACC for the shortest runs and lowest power; AEC when you need up to 3 m or a thinner cable that bends more easily.
Is the AEC power per end or per cable?
The manufacturer's datasheet lists about 12 W for a 3 m 800G AEC without saying which. We confirm it on the quote.
Why is there no published price?
Copper is not in our manufacturer's current price list, so we quote it on request.
