Overview
Four wavelengths per 400G port on one fiber pair, two ports per module: 2×FR4 moves 800G up to 2 km over only four fibers, which makes it the default for building-to-building links where fiber is scarce.
Each port is a standard 400G FR4, so one module can feed two separate 400G FR4 ports at the far end. A TRO version brings datasheet power down to 11 W on hosts that support it.

Questions
FR4 or DR8+ for 2 km?
FR4 needs four fibers per 800G; DR8+ needs sixteen but no wavelength multiplexing. Count your spare fiber pairs between buildings first: that usually decides it.
LC or mini-LC?
Standard duplex LC fits most patch panels; mini-LC packs both pairs into a narrower face. Tell us your panel and we quote the matching connector.
Will it link to 400G FR4 in another form factor?
Yes by design: each port follows IEEE 400GBASE-FR4, the same as 400G FR4 modules in QSFP112 or QSFP-DD. Confirm on your links during evaluation.
